WESTMOUNT — Edmonton police are on the lookout for a suspect after a man was stabbed in west Edmonton Tuesday.
Police were called to the area of Westmount Mall, around 135 Street and 111 Avenue around 4 a.m. after an alleged fight occurred between two men said Lisa Sobchyshyn, EPS spokesperson.
“This individual was stabbed, there obviously was some sort of an altercation or some sort of a situation that caused that to happen,” said Sobchyshyn.
One man was found on scene with non-life threatening injuries from a stab wound, said police. He was taken to a hospital where he received stitches.
Police are describing the suspect a black male with an African accent, stocky build who’s about 25 years age.
“The matter is very much under investigation,” said Sobchyshyn.
