‘Movie at the Marketplace’ invades Callingwood Market

EDMONTON — Families and movie-goers alike set up their lawn chairs and gathered in the breezeway at the Callingwood Marketplace where a giant movie screen featured animated film, ‘Gnomeo and Juliet’.
Dubbed ‘Movie at the Marketplace‘, the fourth annual free family-fun affair also featured a bouncy gym, face-painting and a mobile popcorn and cotton candy vendor.
“The purpose of this event is to provide an activity and entertainment that is inexpensive (no-charge) for families and friends to spend time together,” said Jody Hrabiwchuk, marketing director with the Marketplace at Callingwood/Callingwood Farmers’ Market.
